2015, Sophia Winter

Starting with sketches depicting the character designs, and progressing to storytelling: Techniques involved the use of watercolor pencils, where I drew and colored all scenes. Subsequently, I scanned everything and edited it on the computer. At the time, I had no prior experience with computer programs, and I learned through this small project, among others. Texts and layout were executed in Adobe Photoshop.

I also handled the finalization into a printed version of the comic. It was important to me to do everything by hand and then refine it on the computer – thus employing a mixed media approach.

This comic was created during my studies in graphic and communication design and was my first project ever created on a computer.
